Please join us from 3-6 pm on Tuesday, 16 April, at Union South in Varsity Hall II for the Third Annual AOSS Community Poster Reception. This free event showcases the innovative science, engineering, educational outreach, and other projects going on in the Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences Building today. Please feel free to present a poster of your current work, re-present a poster from a recent conference or even last year's reception, or just come and check out all the great projects happening here!

Again this year, we will be offering Cash Prizes for BEST graduate and undergraduate posters. Contest rules available here (PDF). For a "Fresh Look for Designing Posters," a presentation for this year's WARF Discovery Challenge, is available for guidance as either a video or PDF.

We are asking that everyone who is interested in attending to please register TODAY so that we can get an accurate count for food and the number of poster boards we will need. You may submit more than one poster (the link for submitting posters follows completion of your registration). Posters will be once again hung in alphabetical order by the presenters last name. There will be a list of authors, poster titles, and poster abstracts available online before the reception.

As we are trying to be environmentally friendly, we prefer that participants re-use an already printed poster (many posters were brought back from AGU and AMS this year for use at the reception - check with Maria Vasys to see if your poster is in these piles). The best size for posters is 3 ft wide by 4 ft tall; however, if you have a previously printed poster, that is preferred. If you do need a poster printed, please contact Maria Vasys by Wednesday, 10 April, so there is enough time to print requests. We would ask everyone to drop off their poster by Noon on Friday, 12 April on the table in room 253 - we will transport them across the street and hang them.

Don't miss this great opportunity to find out what your neighbors are doing - please register for the AOSS Poster Reception today!
