The 2017 AOSS Community Poster Reception

Please join us from 3-6 pm on Tuesday, 11 April, at Union South in Varsity Hall II for the Seventh Annual AOSS Community Poster Reception. This free event showcases the innovative science, engineering, educational outreach, and other projects going on in the Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences Building today. Please feel free to present a poster of your current work, re-present a poster from a recent conference or even last year's reception, or just come and check out all the great projects happening here!

Again this year, we will be offering Cash Prizes for BEST graduate and undergraduate posters. Contest rules available here (PDF). A presentation from the WARF Discovery Challenge, "A Fresh Look at Creating Academic Posters," is available for guidance as either a video or PDF.

Since the registration deadline has passed, please let Maria Vasys know if you are planning to attend so you can still get a nametag.

As we are trying to be environmentally friendly, we prefer that participants re-use an already printed poster (many posters were brought back from AGU and AMS this year for use at the reception - check with Maria Vasys to see if your poster is in these piles). The best size for posters is 3 ft wide by 4 ft tall; however, if you have a previously printed poster, that is preferred. If you do need a poster printed, please contact Maria Vasys by Wednesday, 5 April, so there is enough time to print requests. We would ask everyone to drop off their poster by Noon on Friday, 7 April, on the table in room 253 - we will transport them across the street and hang them.
