HIMAWARICAST
A secondary source of Himawari data comes in via the Himawaricast.
Data from Himawaricast contain only bands 3-16 and all bands are at 1/2 of the resolution of the primary source.
Users must be running at least McIDAS-X 2016.1 to use the data on their local workstations.
The Himawaricast is a slower data stream so all bands from the most recent image may not be immediately available.

General Schedule Information:
Full Disks are sent every 10 minutes (ie. 0000, 0010, 0020 ... ) , with
the exception of 0240UTC and 1440UTC, when the Full Disk is cancelled
for maintenance.
Target Regions are sent every 2.5 minutes. Target sectors are not
affected by the maintenance period.
