Stopping and Starting the Ingest Software and GVAR Sounder Decoder

The ingcntl script is used to control the ingest software. The script also controls the GVAR Sounder Decoder if the SOUNDER variable is set in the /data/opt/etc/rc.GVAR file.

To stop the ingest software and GVAR Sounder Decoder (if its variable is set), run the following command.

Type: /etc/init.d/ingcntl stop

To start the ingest software and GVAR Sounder Decoder (if its variable is set), either reboot (see Chapter 1 - Shutting Down the SDI) or run the following command.

Type: /etc/init.d/ingcntl start
