SDI DMSP version 2004jun02 contains updates to the DMSP ingestor to update support of the McIDAS port 112 and for a few other minor changes. See the SDI DMSP Software Changes page to see the list of changes for all versions of SDI DMSP available on the McIDAS Website.

You can obtain the SDI DMSP version 2004jun02 files through this webpage if you purchased MUG support for your SDI DMSP system or have been contacted and been given apporoval by SSEC. You will be prompted for your site's login and password when you attempt to download the installation files. If you do not know the login and password, ask your site coordinator. If you know the login and password and still have a problem obtaining these files via the web, ask your site coordinator to contact the McIDAS Help Desk by e-mail or by phone at (608) 262-2455.

Complete the following steps to obtain and install the SDI DMSP software.

1. Download the following two files to the ~mcadde directory on your SDI DMSP ingestor. If you ftp the files from another workstation, be sure to use binary file transfers.

   sdi_dmsp_2004jun02.sh	9 KB	shell script that does the build/install
   sdi_dmsp_2004jun02.tar.Z	3231 KB	compressed tar file containing the server binaries, ingestor binaries, and data files

2. Log on to the ingestor as root. Run all commands below from the ~mcadde directory.
3. Install SDI DMSP version 2004jun02.
   Type: sh ./sdi_dmsp_2004jun02.sh install
4. Stop and then restart the ingestor.
