What's New in 1.0beta5 -

1. The ability to create scatter diagrams was inadvertently omitted from the 1.0beta4 version of McIDAS-V. This function has been restored.
2. Color tables to be used with GOES-R data have been added to McIDAS-V.
3. See the Release Notes in the McIDAS-V User's Guide for the complete list of changes available in version 1.0beta5 of McIDAS-V.

Download McIDAS-V -

Check that your system meets the system requirements for McIDAS-V and download the appropriate package for your operating system:

	Linux - 32 bit		Linux - 64 bit
	Mac OS X - PowerPC		Mac OS X - Intel
	Solaris - SPARC		Solaris - x86
	Windows		Windows - 64 bit
	All other UNIX (no Java binaries included)

Note: This file is just the installer and can be placed anywhere on your machine. When you run the installer in the next step, you can then indicate where you want McIDAS-V to be installed.

Install McIDAS-V -

See the section on Downloading and Running McIDAS-V in the McIDAS-V User's Guide for instructions on downloading, installing, and running McIDAS-V on your workstation.

 

Download Source - (not recommended for most users)

McIDAS-V software developers can download the source files for McIDAS-V and build it from scratch. This is not recommended for most users. See the section on Building McIDAS-V from Source in the McIDAS-V User's Guide for more information on how to download and build the source code: McIDAS-V_1.0beta5 _source.jar
