The section below lists the 2017 operating system support plans for each vendor supported by McIDAS User Services. Please check the plans for your current operating system(s) and contact the McIDAS Help Desk if you have any questions or concerns about the plans. Refer to the current Supported System Configurations list for the currently supported platforms and versions.

Vendor:  Apple

Support Mac OS X 10.10 and 10.11.

We will evaluate 10.12 when it's supported at the University of Wisconsin SSEC, and sunset support for 10.10 when 10.12 is added.

Vendor:  Microsoft

Continuing support of Windows 7 Enterprise with Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA).

We have no plans to support McIDAS-X on Windows 8. We will evaluate Windows 10 when it's supported at the University of Wisconsin SSEC.

Continuing support of 6.x Intel and 7.x Intel.
