Shown below are some example satellite imagery from the VIIRS and CrIS instruments aboard the newly renamed Suomi NPP satellite. The VIIRS images are from 19 January 2012, the first day when the full complement of VIIRS channels was active - the time period is from 17:57 to 18:04 UTC. The CrIS image is from 20 January 2012.
