CSPP CrIS, AIRS and IASI Atmospheric Retrieval Software Package Release

We are pleased to announce the release of the Community Satellite Processing Package (CSPP) University of Wisconsin (UW) hyperspectral retrieval software package for direct broadcast applications.  This multi-instrument retrieval algorithm is based on the dual-regression method for use with either Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS), Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS), or Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) radiance measurements. It retrieves a suite of surface, cloud and atmospheric parameters at single field-of-view resolution. This software is provided by Dr. Elisabeth Weisz, Dr. William Smith and Dr. Nadia Smith.

SSEC/CIMSS has a long history of supporting the direct broadcast community, from creating the early International TOVS Processing Package (ITPP, later the IAPP or International ATOVS Processing Package), to the International MODIS/AIRS Processing Package (IMAPP), and now the CSPP. SSEC/CIMSS scientists have also organized direct broadcast seminars around the world to teach others about the software and its applications.

Note that this package replaces both the former IMAPP-AIRS as well as CSPP-CrIS-EDR retrieval packages.

This package is supported on 64 bit Intel linux platforms, and produces output retrieval files in HDF5 format.
