Activity 1: Estimate Iceberg Speed

In March 2000, a large tabular iceberg named B15-A calved from the nearby Ross Ice Shelf into the Ross Sea. It is now making its way towards McMurdo station. Use the satellite images below to estimate when it might collide with an ice projection that is near the station.
