weather balloon thumbnail water vapor thumbnail As part of a weather research team you're in charge of launching a weather balloon that will carry a new instrument into the upper atmosphere to measure solar radiation. You need to decide an optimal launch time and estimate the balloon's path of travel to alert a pick-up team. You will need to use weather models and water vapor satellite imagery to locate a jet stream and assess its speed.
