My Piece of an Aberdeen Machine

Two IBM Pluggable Sequence Relay Calculators were delivered to Aberdeen Proving Grounds in 1944. Also known as the "Aberdeen Machines", they were the fastest "computers" in the world until 1947. My mother was a lab assistant at Aberdeen during World War II. After the war my father joined her there. When the Aberdeen Machines were scrapped, he salvaged this piece of one:
