LBLDIS Radiative Transfer Model

Welcome to the home directory of the radiative transfer model LBLDIS. This model, which is a combination of AER's LBLRTM and DISORT, is a flexible model that is able to compute radiance for scattering atmospheres. It has been primarly used in the infrared. It's capability is moderate and always being expanded. A decent instruction file is provided in the tar file, as well as the full source code.

A major upgrade of LBLDIS was recently completed, resulting in a much more accurate radiance calculation (especially on and near strong absorption lines). Additionally, DISORT was compiled using double precision, which solved some of the numerical precision issues that was impacting the earlier release of the model. Finally, a new option was provided to output the data into netCDF format. I strongly encourage all users to use v2+ of this algorithm for their work.
