My Dear Draper:

I am just returned from the southern part of the State, and find yours of the 29th.

The delay in sending the Plans for the Gallery has been caused by my wish to go to Madison to make a final examination of the old wall before submitting the drawings. All have been ready for months and I have likewise been hoping to see an opening to get away and go there. It has not presented itself.

As soon as I get to the office in the morning, will make a final examination of the drawings, and forthwith forward them to you. Mr. Fish and Sorensen have seen them here and can tell you anything you may not fully understand about them.

I can not get a the plans tonight. Am sorry if my tardiness has inconvenienced you or any one.

In galloping haste I remain,
Very Truly Yours,
S. V. Shipman

I will write you hereafter.
