My Dear Draper:

On looking over my set of the "Pennsylvania Archives" and "Colonial Records" -- I find duplicates of Vols. 8 and 9 or the "Archives". While there is missing from my set Vol. 8 of the "Colonial Record" and Vol. 7 of the "Penn. Archives."

My recollection is that many years since I furnished to you (possible the Socy) a set of these Books; and it occurs to me as possible, -- the duplicates I have, may belong to your set; and those missing from mine, may be duplicates in yours.

If on looking over yours, such is found to be the case, the exchange will, on my part, be gladly made.

Mr. Goodrich writes me he will not be able to come to Chicago, and I shall not be able to learn from him what you desire to know about Rev. Crafts.

Nothing new with us here. Hoping all is well with you I remain

Sincerely your friend
S. V. Shipman
