Align Mode) is a diagnostic mode where the interferometer swing-arm operates without fringe-counting feedback from the metrology laser<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">This mode can be used to align the metrology laser and quadrature detector to peak the signal<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">Three values are displayed in real time\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\">F: \u00a0Fringe, amplitude (%) of laser signal<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">D: \u00a0Dephase, amplitude\u00a0(%) of laser signal<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">Phase: \u00a0Phase (degrees) between the two signals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">Nominal values are\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\">F\/D &gt; 5% (absolute minimum), &gt;10% (preferred)<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">Phase ~ 45 degrees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Closed-loop Mode<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Closed-loop Mode is a diagnostic mode where the interferometer swing-arm operates with fringe-counting feedback from the metrology laser<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">This mode can be used to align the white light source to peak the signal<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">Four values are displayed in real time\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\">WL: \u00a0White Light, amplitude (%) of white light signal and fringe counts in brackets<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">F: \u00a0Fringe, amplitude\u00a0(%) of laser signal<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">D: \u00a0Dephase, amplitude\u00a0(%) of laser signal<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">Phase: \u00a0Phase (degrees) between the two signals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Procedure<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Make sure the AERI is powered ON, and a computer is connected<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Close any\u00a0AERI software that is running (Ingest, FTSW)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">Open an internet browser and go to the address of the interferometer\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\">http:\/\/169.254.44.127<\/li>\n<li>Open the &#8216;Service&#8217; page in the left bar (Fig. 1)<\/li>\n<li>Type the password:\u00a0 @Bb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">Alternatively, go straight to\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\">http:\/\/169.254.44.127\/admin-bin\/production.cgi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">This opens the Production Menu (Fig. 2) from which you can select\u00a0to enter either Open-loop Mode (Fig. 3) or Closed-loop Mode (Fig. 4) in the left bar<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\" style=\"background-color: #fcf8e3;\">After completing diagnostics, make sure to take the instrument out of Open\/Closed-loop Mode by clicking &#8216;Open\/Closed-loop Mode
