hex driver<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"background-color: #fcf8e3;\">\n<h3>Precaution<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The interferometer is fairly heavy, and should be lifted by two people<\/li>\n<li>Be careful in sliding\u00a0the interferometer front window into\u00a0the tube on\u00a0the back-end<\/li>\n<li>Verify that the interferometer is correctly seated in the kinematic mount<\/li>\n<li>Be careful to not perturb\u00a0the screws on the kinematic mount that optically aligns the interferometer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Procedure<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Confirm that the AERI back-end is powered OFF<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Examine the MR interferometer. \u00a0Ensure that the front gaskets are properly seated on the front window around. \u00a0Note the 3 posts for the kinematic mount (Fig. 1).<\/li>\n<li>Examine the AERI back-end. \u00a0Note the 3 receptacles\u00a0for the kinematic mount (socket, slot, flat). \u00a0Note the tube that the interferometer front window needs to slide into. \u00a0Ensure the motor controller is removed, for ease of installation of the interferometer (Fig. 2).<\/li>\n<li>Carefully lift the interferometer and place onto the back-end. \u00a0The front-window needs to carefully slide into the tube on the back-end. \u00a0The interferometer needs to rest correctly in the kinematic mount.\n<ol>\n<li>The front-right post has to be fully inside the socket<\/li>\n<li>The front-left post has to be fully inside the slot<\/li>\n<li>The rear-center post will sit on the flat receptacle<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Verify the the front window gasket is compressed between the interferometer and the back wall of the back-end. \u00a0There should be no air gap between the gasket and the two surfaces. \u00a0If a gap is present and the gasket is not compressed, then an additional (thicker) gasket must be added.<\/li>\n<li>Secure the MR holder plate to the back-end using the three 1\/4&#8243;
