The frequency of each sector is the mode of operations.<\/p>\n<h2><b>MODE 3 &#8211; Flex Mode &#8211; Expected to be the Primary Mode of Operation<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>FD (<\/b>Full disk) images<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Every 15 minutes<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Images at approximately HH:00:39, HH:15:39, HH:30:39, and HH:45:39<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>CONUS<\/b> (continental US coverage)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0NOT a subset of the Full disk.\u00a0 They are scanned separately.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Images are every 5 minutes at:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HH:02:20, HH:07:20, HH:12:20, HH:17:20, HH:22:20, HH:27:20,<\/p>\n<p>HH:32:20, HH:37:20, HH:42:20, HH:47:20, HH:52:20, HH:57:20<\/p>\n<p><b>M1<\/b><b> or <\/b><b>M2<\/b> (Meso scale sector 1 or 2)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Every minute offset by 30 seconds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>E.g.\u00a0\u00a0 M1 is at HH:MM:28,\u00a0 M2 are then at HH:MM:58<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If M1 and M2 are scanning the same mesoscale sector, there will only be an M1 coverage,\u00a0 at HH:MM:28 and HH:MM:58<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vlab.noaa.gov\/web\/guest?redirect=\/web\/goes-r-end-user-mission-readiness-project\/goesr-mds-main\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NOAA Link to graphical depiction of current GOES-16 mesoscale \u00a0sectors<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><b>MODE 4 &#8211; Continuous Full Disk<br \/>\n<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>FD<\/b> (Full disk) images<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Every 5 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>CONUS<\/b> (Continental US coverage)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0ARE subsetted from FD<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Every 5 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mesoscale sectors are not available in Mode 4 (CFD)<\/p>\n<h2><b>MODE 6<br \/>\n<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>FD<\/b> (Full disk) images<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Every 10 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>CONUS<\/b> (Continental US coverage)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Every 5 minutes<\/li>\n<li><span id=\"m_63651244886545660m_6328350103668625018gmail-docs-internal-guid-3407dbfb-7fff-b7d7-7ae5-ad46211a4bea\">2 meso domains every minute (or 1 domain every 30 seconds)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Modes of Operation Three geographical sectors are available.\u00a0 Full Disk, CONUS and Mesoscale.
