	Weather Conditions:

Clouds turning to rain in afternoon.  Expected to continue through to Saturday.

	Instrument Status:

The center experienced a couple power outages (momentary) which did not seem to affect the AERIbago.  I was not in the AERIbago at the time.  All instruments are running as expected.

	Science Discussion:

No testing activities were pursued today with the GIFTS EDU.  Troubleshooting activities were performed on the chiller
today, wherein it was determined that stable temperature control could be achieved by operating the chiller at a colder
temperature (~ 10 degrees colder than nominal).  At this point, the SDL folks think testing can continue without
anomalous chiller performance or any increased risk of failure.  Meanwhile they will consult the chiller vendor regarding
possible intervention activities.  They also have another backup system in the lab available for use, however, it is
expected to produce a less temperature/vibration stable environment.
