This has continued through to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/california-wildfires\/article\/pge-power-outage-eta-where-when-will-come-back-14569935.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">30 October 2019<\/a>, per PG&amp;E. The screenshot below, taken at 2:43pm PDT on 29 October 2019,shows the area where PG&amp;E planned to cut off power to try and prevent new wildfires from starting. This is what is being called a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event. At least <b>206 <\/b>structures destroyed with <strong>2 injuries confirmed<\/strong>. Not that this was not a large increase in size from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssec.wisc.edu\/jpss-sdoc\/posts\/2019-california-wildfiles\/kincade-fire-and-california-power-outages-on-29-october-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">previous day<\/a>, when the size of the fire was 75,415 acres. This slower growth is likely due to the weaker than forecast winds.<\/p>\n<p>There are still large portions that are under a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fire.ca.gov\/media\/9986\/102719_0430_evac_o.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mandatory evacuation<\/a> notice. However, most of Sonoma County all the way to the Pacific Ocean and into Napa Valley are either in a mandatory evacuation or an evacuation warning. This meant that the satellite was able to observe the fire with the best possible view, eliminating the edge of scan effects. The most obvious thing when one looks at the I04 (3.75\u03bcm) channel is that it appears that the most intense part of the fire is still the northern and eastern parts of the fire. In addition, since this is displaying data from direct broadcast, this provides users with high resolution information with very low (less than 30 minute) latency.<\/p>\n<h2>Power outages<\/h2>\n<p>At ~3:10amPDT, shortly after the the near-nadir NOAA-20 overpass of California, roughly <strong>446,089 customers <\/strong>were without power, primarily in northern California, as seen in the screenshot from <a href=\"https:\/\/poweroutage.us\/area\/state\/california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poweroutage.us<\/a>, with virtually all of them being from PG&amp;E.
