SUNLIT

Lists the sunrise and sunset times for a specified location.


Formats

SUNLIT date station
SUNLIT date lat lon


Parameters

date

date of the sunrise/sunset; valid formats include: YYYYDDD, YYYY/MM/DD and DD/MON/YYYY, where YYYY, DDD, MM and DD are integers and MON is three or four letters, such as JAN or JANU

station

station identifier, e.g., KMSN or YSSY, optionally followed by the station type in brackets, e.g., ARX[N] or ARX[V]; see the TYPE keyword in STNLIST command for valid station types

lat

latitude for sunrise and sunset

lon

longitude for sunrise and sunset


Remarks

You must specify either a station identifier or latitude/longitude coordinates. The local noon time is an approximate calculated by finding the midpoint of the sunrise and sunset times.

This entry lists today's sunrise and sunset times for Pittsburgh.

SUNLIT TOM KPIT

This entry lists tomorrow's sunrise and sunset times for Pittsburgh.

SUNLIT 2003147 KMIA

This entry lists the sunrise and sunset times on 27 May 2003 for Miami.

SUNLIT 31/DEC/1999 32.9 97.1

This entry lists the sunrise and sunset times on 31 December 1999 at 32.9° North and 97.1° West.

SUNLIT 2005/05/23 -33:57 -151:11

This entry lists the sunrise and sunset times on 23 May 2005 at 33:57° South and 151:11° East.
