If you are installing McIDAS-XCD for the first time on a workstation, you must review all the configuration sections and complete the appropriate actions for your workstation's configuration. Once you have completed the configuration, proceed to Starting and Stopping McIDAS-XCD for instructions on how to start McIDAS-XCD.

If your workstation has been running McIDAS-XCD and you want to modify its configuation, first stop McIDAS-XCD and LDM, go to the corresponding configuration section(s) and complete the actions needed to implement the desired changes, then restart LDM and McIDAS-XCD.
