Creates new form AboutFrame

Parameters:

mcv - McIDAS-V object. Cannot be null.

Throws:

NullPointerException - if mcv is null.

getSystemInformation

Convenience method for calling SystemState.getStateAsString(McIDASV, boolean).

Returns:

All of the relevant McIDAS-V system properties, stuffed into a single String.

initComponents

Called by the constructor to initialize the "About" window.

buildAboutMcv

private JPanel buildAboutMcv()

Populate the regular "About McIDAS-V" tab.

Contains information like build date, a link to our website, etc.

Returns:

Panel suitable for using inside a JTabbedPane.

populateSystemTab

private void populateSystemTab()

Populates the "System Information" tab.

The system information is collected on a separate thread, and when done, the results are added to the tab (on the Event Dispatch Thread).

stateChanged

public void stateChanged(ChangeEvent e)

Respond to a change in the JTabbedPane.

If the user has decided to make the "System Information" tab visible, this method will call populateSystemTab().
