  1. Performance updates and bug fixes\u00a0for the MTG (Meteosat Third Generation) ADDE servers<\/strong> for both nominal and high resolution data.\u00a0 The MTG FCI servers are being released as a separate package from McIDAS-X<\/a>.\u00a0 These are the first operational servers written in Python.<\/li>\n
  2. Initial release of the ADDE server (mtglks<\/strong>) for the MTG LI (lightning imager)<\/strong> data. New commands, LTGDISP<\/strong> and LTGLIST<\/strong>, were developed to display all lightning point data from MTG LI and GOES-R Series GLM.<\/li>\n
  3. The GRD commands and grib\/grid servers were updated to access true Mercator grib files<\/strong>. There were also modifications to -XCD to handle these data. GRDLIST<\/strong> will list the projection as MERC for the new true Mercator grids; grids previously listed as MERC are now RECT; CONF are now LAMB; and LAMB are now TANC.\u00a0 GRD commands with GPRO=<\/strong> will match on the new projections when accessing data from updated servers. Users with GPRO= in scripts may need to update their scripts.\u00a0 PLANET=<\/strong> was also deprecated with these changes.<\/li>\n
  4. Updated the LEO<\/strong> command to use NOAA-20, NOAA-21, and Suomi NPP, replacing the previous NOAA satellites.<\/li>\n
  5. The world map files, OUTLSUPW<\/strong> and OUTLHRES<\/strong>, were updated with newer and more detailed shapefiles to include all of the Canary Islands and many islands worldwide. The political boundary map, OUTLHPOL<\/strong>, now includes South Sudan. The regional maps, OUTLSUPU<\/strong> and OUTLUSAM<\/strong>, now include the Canadian province of Nunavut and the correct location of Isla Guadalupe.<\/li>\n
  6. Updated USCOUNTY.MAP<\/strong>, USSTATE.MAP<\/strong> and USZONE.MAP<\/strong> files with the most recent National Weather Service GIS-AWIPS Shapefile database updates. The US*.MAP files are used by the WWDISP<\/strong> command and the MAP command\u2019s COUNTY=, MARINE=, STATE= and ZONE= keywords.<\/li>\n
  7. Updated the station database (STNDB.CORE<\/strong>) to include the latest version of NCAR\/RAP stations. (https:\/\/weather.rap.ucar.edu\/surface\/stations.txt<\/a>)<\/li>\n
  8. Updates to the servers for the beta release of McIDAS-XCD.<\/li>\n
  9. Updated the McIDAS-XRD Package<\/strong> included in the McIDAS-X installation files to include:\n
