Human Resources

By Denise Weidner

In July, I did a training on MyUW and what it can do for you. The focus of the training was to get employees familiar with MyUW as a reference point for accessing information like their benefits summary.

Historically, campus has provided all employees with an annual UW Staff Benefit Statement - this is not to be confused with the ETF (Employee Trust Funds) Annual Statement of Benefits. The UW Staff Benefit Statement will not be printed and mailed to employees anymore as it is available through their MyUW account.

To get to the UW Staff Benefit Statement, employees need to do the following:

  1. Log in to their MyUW account
  2. Click on Work Record
  3. Find Benefit Information
  4. Click on View Benefit Summary Detail

The ETF Annual Statement of Benefits will continue to be available through MyUW, but it is delayed due to technology/information system changes at the Department of ETF. It is estimated that the statement will be available in early to late fall.

For those of you wondering what the difference is:

The UW Staff Benefit Statement gives you a current picture of what your benefit (insurance) information is.

The ETF Annual Statement of Benefits provides you with your WRS account balance and activity for the prior year.

If you have any questions, feel free contact me or to stop down on 3rd floor and talk to any one of us!
