Special Sesssions on Data at the AMS Annual Meeting in Seattle

This year, for the first time, there will be a day-long Data Stewardship Session at the 27th IIPS Conference of the 91st AMS Annual Meeting in Seattle. In keeping with the annual meeting theme, the session will focus on collecting, preserving and communicating weather and climate data. This timely session on Tuesday, 25 January, is jointly sponsored by the AMS Ad Hoc Coommittee on Data Stewardship (Chris Velden and Jean Phillips, members) and the Conference on Interactive Information Processing Systems (IIPS) (Tom Whittaker, chair).

On Thursday afternoon three groups will host a forum to discuss issues related to publishing and sharing data. This informative program is sponsored by the 27th Conference on Interactive Information Processing Systems (IIPS); the Special Symposium on Advances in Modeling and Analysis Using Python; and the 14th Conference of Atmospheric Science Librarians International.
