Equity & Diversity

Hello;

You may have noticed that there is a black Suggestion Box mounted on the wall across from the door of the breakroom (room 448). This Suggestion Box came to being as a result of our discussions with the Directors regarding the Climate Survey. The purpose of this Suggestion Box is to have a means for staff to make suggestions anonymously for improving workplace diversity, communications and environment. Unfortunately, the downside of anonymous suggestions is we cannot pass out prizes or acknowledgements for suggestions that get used.

SSEC’s Equity & Diversity Committee will monitor, review and act upon (as appropriate) the suggestions monthly.
 
So what kind of suggestions are we looking for? Anything that could make SSEC a little bit better place to work. Do you have ideas on how to recruit a more diversified workforce, improve office/lab space, seek professional development or conduct orientation of new staff? Please share your thoughts. We welcome any and all suggestions that you may have.
