Please let me know if you have any feedback and/or ideas to bring to the Academic Staff Assembly and bear in mind that governance meetings are open to the public so feel free to attend and voice your thoughts at anytime.
With the school year back in session the Academic Staff Assembly will start to meet again.
Recommendations from the Project Leaders of Bob Lavigna, Steve Lund and Mark Walters are to be released 21 September 2012.
An "Ad Hoc Committee to Review the HR Design Proposal" is to be formed to review and draft resolutions on the proposal during the two weeks we have before the 08 October 2012 Academic Staff Assembly. This group is expected to be composed of one representative of each of the Academic Staff Assembly Standing Committee members and at least one member of ASEC.
There will be a special Academic Staff Assembly meeting on 24 September 2012 to discuss the HR Design Proposal with the Project Leaders and possibly Darrell Bazzell.
Responses developed by ASEC on work team recommendations and questions asked of us by the Project Leaders throughout the summer have been posted on the Academic Staff webpage.

I would like to invite you to some discussions on the HR Design final proposal. I have provided a link to the proposal that has been released to governance groups. I am interested in discussing this document before the Thursday, October 4, 2012, ASEC meeting and our Monday, October 8, 2012, Assembly meeting (when we will be voting on the proposal).
I have reserved Room 351 at the following times but feel free to forward on your thoughts on to the governance representatives list within the building: "as.reps@ssec.wisc.edu".
Monday, 10/1 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Tuesday, 10/2 from 2:45pm to 3:45pm (after 1:30pm to 2:30pm campus HR Design session at Union South)
Wednesday, 10/3 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm
