2019 CloudSat Algorithm Development Working Group Meeting
We are pleased to welcome you to Madison, Wisconsin for the next CloudSat Algorithm Developers Working Group meeting. The meeting will be held in room 351 at the Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Sciences (AOSS) building located at 1225 W. Dayton Street, a 15-story building that houses the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Department, the Center for Climatic Research, and the Space Science and Engineering Center at the University of Wisconsin.
Please take a moment and register for the meeting so we can obtain a head count for reserving meeting space and refreshments. Registration deadline is 1 Sept 2019 so that we can finalize logistics. We have the option of making a reservation at a local restaurant for a group dinner on Tuesday, 24 Sept, so please also indicate your interest at the bottom of that form.
Accommodation options and information about the area, including several dining options, can be found under the other tabs. Lunches will be on your own. There are many local alternatives, from food carts to formal restaurants, all within walking distance.
Meeting Foci
We will review the status of processing the Release 5 CloudSat data products and identify the remaining known issues. We will revisit the deliverables proposed during the last Senior Review and brainstorm highlights to present in 2020. We will also discuss plans for new or revised products such as the proposed 2C-Hydro product. Some progress has recently been made on Level 3 products. We will build on this momentum to discuss changes and/or additions to these initial products. The status and plans for the climate quality dataset will also be discussed. Finally, we will outline plans for Phase F and the final R06 post-mission reprocessing.
