2026 AOSS Community Poster Reception
This reception showcases the research of scientists, faculty and students from the UW-Madison Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences building: the Center for Climatic Research, the Cooperative Institute for Satellite Meteorological Studies, the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and the Space Science and Engineering Center. This event is meant to create a forum for scientists and researchers at the AOSS building to discuss their work and acts as a springboard for new collaborations. The event is on Monday February 9 from 3 – 5:30 pm. Free snacks and refreshments provided!
Posters from AMS and AGU are not automatically registered and displayed at the AOSS poster reception. If you would like to present your AMS or AGU poster, please use the registration form below to sign up.
Again this year, the 2026 Reception will be held in conjunction with the Reid Bryson Scholarship Poster Competition. Applicants should apply through the Wisconsin Scholarship Hub. The due date for Bryson posters is 23 January 2026. It is not necessary to register for the Community Poster Reception if you have already submitted a poster to the Reid Bryson competition. Students who do not wish to enter the Bryson competition may still present their research by registering below.
If you wish to submit a poster or demonstration, or would just like to attend the 2026 AOSS Community Poster Reception, please register below before 4 Feb 2026. We need to create name tags for all attendees in order to meet the University’s requirements for serving refreshments. Posters presented at other events are encouraged to be recycled for this reception but still need to be registered so that a poster board is available. Poster boards are 4′ x 4′ at Union South.
If you have any questions or would like your poster printed, please contact Maria Vasys . The deadline for printing a new poster is also 4 Feb 2026. If you have a previously printed poster, please bring it to room AOSS 251 no later than 5 Feb 2026 so it can be properly organized by the committee. If your posters were shipped by SSEC to another conference, please check that they have returned and are available for this event.
