2026 CSPP Users’ Group attendees<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The Community Satellite Processing Package (CSPP) Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) Users\u2019 Group Meeting brought together the community of CSPP users to discuss topics relevant to reception, processing, and applications of data acquired by direct broadcast and rebroadcast from polar-orbiting and geostationary earth observing satellites. The CSPP LEO and GEO community includes more than 4,500 registered users from around the world representing more than 100 countries and all 7 continents. The meeting was in Darmstadt hosted by EUMETSAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

A Call for Presentation Abstracts has been published (PDF)<\/a>. Abstracts can be submitted via the CSPP Users\u2019 Group Meeting website under the Registration tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We invite presentations related to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • LEO missions including JPSS, EPS, EPS-SG, EOS, FY-3, GCOM, AWS;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • GEO missions including GOES, MTG, Himawari, GEO-KOMPSAT, FY-4.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Presentations related to future satellite missions (e.g., GeoXO, NEON, EPS-Sterna) are also welcome.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Local applications of CSPP LEO and CSPP GEO software and products such as Active Fire detection; Monitoring severe weather events; Oceanography and marine ecosystem studies; Land surface and vegetation monitoring; Air quality and pollution tracking; NWP assimilation; Flood detection; Environmental monitoring for aviation; and Education and training;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • CSPP software technical topics, including related software packages (e.g., AAPP);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Status of current and future environmental satellite missions and sensors; <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Innovations in algorithms, processing and dissemination, including cloud processing, machine learning, containerization and low latency products;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Feedback to the CSPP LEO\/GEO teams on current products and future priorities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Satellite data analysis and visualization applications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • LEO and Geo ground stations and hardware;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • User needs for future satellite missions including distribution of data;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • General issues affecting the direct broadcast community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
