Visitors will get a closer look at our research, as well as have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in hands-on educational activities.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a <a title=\"AOSS Open House Events\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ssec.wisc.edu\/outreach\/science-expeditions\/\">preview of things to do<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Try out computer-based educational applets from the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) to explore and test your knowledge of weather concepts;<\/li>\n<li>Check out aerial photography and satellite imagery of Wisconsin from the WisconsinView program;<\/li>\n<li>See satellite images generated on site at the Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) projected onto a 3D Globe; and<\/li>\n<li>Discover what researchers with the Antarctic Meteorological Research Center do and what it\u2019s like to work and live down in Antarctica.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_2679\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ssec.wisc.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2013\/03\/building-pic_300.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2679\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2679\" alt=\"AOSS Building\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ssec.wisc.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2013\/03\/building-pic_300.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2679\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">AOSS Building<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to take a tour to the roof of AOSS \u2013 take in the spectacular views of Madison and learn why we have so many satellite dishes on the roof.
