Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellites

This tool lets you manipulate some of the factors that determine the amount and quality of data collected by low earth orbit (LEO) satellites.
Polar orbiting (Low Earth Orbit) satellite

A polar orbiting satellite passes over or nearly over both poles of the Earth. Since the Earth will be rotating while the satellite travels, a different swath of the surface will be sensed on each of its orbits.
