Quality Assurance and Safety Manager
My role as the Quality Assurance and Safety (QAS) Manager is to establish and maintain the SSEC QAS program to serve the Center, keep staff safe, and meet project needs. The QAS program qualifies SSEC for high level projects from NASA and other funding agencies. The QAS group works with project staff to help them navigate proper quality assurance processes and address safety issues. It maintains controlled document libraries for the QAS program, Facilities & Administration and projects for Instrumentation, Software, and the Ice Drilling Program. The QAS group also provides employee safety resources including the Occupant Emergency Plan, Continuity of Operations Plan, Chemical Hygiene Plan and Safety Data Sheets for chemicals in SSEC labs.
