AERI Motor Controller Troubleshooting

Symptoms

  • STEP diagnostic LED is solid red
  • POWER diagnostic LED is solid green
  • No communication through COM5 to motor controller

Fix

  • Remove motor controller from AERI
  • Remove screws from top and bottom of controller
  • Remove all jumpers and connectors
  • Take apart box
  • See photos below

    Motor controller removed from AERI instrument

    Remove the cover to the motor controller via the screws on the top and bottom. I think there are 6 of them.

    Zeta motor controller with cover removed.

    Check for loose connector
  • 5
    Reseat connector that came loose
  • 6
    Reseating connector
  • 7
    Connector in place, put cover back on and install back into the AERI for testing.
