Interferometer Status Display Code = 3

Symptom

Interferometer doesn’t start up normally
Scan, ZPD, Data lights are OFF
Status display code is 3: The DSP is searching; the mechanical ZPD (full path bumper to bumper)
In open loop mode, FTSW does not initialize: “Unable to open board”

Possible Causes

Vibration from moving or shipping is causing the interferometer mechanism to not scan correctly

Troubleshooting

The scan mechanism needs to be physically reset:
Power cycle the AERI hardware
Run the interferometer in open-loop mode: this operates the scan actuator with increased power
Physically move the interferometer around: carefully tilt it up to 90 degrees in each direction
