The Pyle Center is the premier conference facility operated by the University of Wisconsin Extension Service. This venue includes a 92-seat auditorium, dining rooms, and breakout rooms. Free wireless Internet access is provided. Parking is available at the State Street Campus Parking Ramp (please see Google Map Under the Madison tab).

During the 2011 CLARREO Science Team Meeting, only morning and afternoon breaks will be offered at the Pyle Center to comply with NASA directives. To avoid charging a registration fee, attendees will be on their own for meals, although a group dinner at the Great Dane (see below) has been organized for Wednesday evening.

Group Dinner at the Great Dane

During the registration process, you will need to choose your entree for the group dinner, which will be held at the historic Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company. Dinner will be in the Rathskellar on Wednesday evening, 12 Oct, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A cash bar will be available. Prices below include entree, dinner salad, assorted mini-cheesecakes for dessert, tax and gratuity (20%). Additional special diets can be accommodated with advanced notification. Individual checks will be provided with the understanding that paying separate tabs will take some time to process. Diners have a choice of:

Great Dane
  • Flat Iron Chef Steak ($28.49)
    An 8-oz USDA Choice Flat Iron steak char-grilled to medium perfection, served with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed fresh green beans.
  • Cedar-Planked Chive Buttered Salmon ($25.96):
    A 6-oz wild-caught Sockeye salmon fillet baked on a cedar plank, served with fresh grilled asparagus and French country hash browns with chive butter sauce and lemon.
  • Tandoori Chicken ($21.53)
    Indian spiced "BBQ" chicken tenders char-grilled and served with almond-fragranced Israeli cous cous, tomatoes, artichokes, olives and grilled flat bread, served with a lemon yogurt dipping sauce.
  • Thai Pasta ($21.21) vegan option
    Soy-marinated stir fry with peanuts, red peppers, carrots, garlic, ginger and scallions tossed with linguini in a Thai sauce.
