Hurricane Dorian – Final analyses from 8 Sept 2019

Posted: September 8, 2019

As Dorian moves away from North America, it is worth doing a final bit of comparisons over various affected regions. For example, the DNB did not show much outages in North Carolina on 7 September

This is consistent with the outages on poweroutages.us at about the time over North Carolina

Similarly the Sentinel-1 pass over Georgia showed no major areas of flooding

And even Grand Bahama Island showed the water had receded from the areas that had previously been flooded

Even so, the Grand Bahama and Abaco Islands will require extensive efforts to rebuild once the recovery effort ends.
