Low Level Jet (LLJ) and Tropical Easterly Jet (TEJ) are two important semi-permanent systems during the Indian summer monsoon season that extend from June to September. Representation of LLJ and TEJ in the Aeolus Horizontal Line Of Sight (HLOS) winds are analyzed and compared with AMVs and NWP model background/analysis fields. This study also analyses the assimilation impact of Aeolus Mie and Rayleigh HLOS winds in simulating the North Indian Ocean cyclone features.
