Channel Mixer

This RCO lets you apply data from a single MODIS or other instrument channel to each of the Red, Green, and Blue color components of a new, generated image. This capability can allow visualization of otherwise undetectable features. For example, some channel combinations will result in a "true color" effect, and other channel combinations may allow features like ice to stand out.

The instructor must provide an image set in a standard web format (such as .gif or .jpg).

The sample XML file provided below must be populated with appropriate data (in this case, the image file names are all that is required) and placed in the same location as the HTML file used to access and present this RCO.

Example usage:

This link will bring up a separate browser window with a page that uses this RCO.
