| Parking | 
Because parking is very limited in the area around
    the meeting and training site (Union South / DoIT / SSEC; 
    see Google map),
    we encourage you to travel to and from it by a means other than car. Options
    include walking (the four hotels in the Lodging and Transportation section
    below are between 100 feet and 1.0 mile
    from Union South), using your hotel's van/limousine service, taxi, or using
    the Madison
    Metro bus service (fares are currently $2.00). If you must park, see
    the Google map for
    the locations of two suggested UW lots - 80 and 17 - and the UW Transportation
    Services Visitor
    Hourly parking page for additional information (e.g., access,
    rates and payment methods) about those lots.

- The four hotels below are listed in order of distance from the meeting location (Union South).
 -  The Federal Government per
  diem rate for Madison is currently
    $97. At hotels that offer that rate, you must be able to provide proof that you qualify, e.g., show your Federal picture ID at check-in.
 
 
 
- • Wisconsin Union Hotel
 
This hotel is located in the meeting location (Union South). Rooms are available starting Sunday 07 June. The group rate
  is $130.00 per night for standard
  rooms, with a reservation deadline of  Thursday 07 May. Reservations can be made online via the hotel's Reservations page using group code MUG2015. Or call the Wisconsin Union Hotel at 608-263-2600 and
  specify that you wish to reserve a room held in the "McIDAS Users' Group Meeting" block with group code MUG2015. 
Rooms at a rate of $97 are available for Federal Government employees. To obtain that rate, you must call to reserve your room and request the Federal rate. You must also present your Federal picture ID at check-in.
   The Wisconsin Union Hotel opened in 2011 and its amenities include
    complimentary parking for one vehicle per room, free internet, Keurig coffee maker, mini-refrigerator, microwave, 42" flat panel TV and 24-hour fitness center. 
- • HotelRED 
 
Rooms are available starting Sunday 07 June. The group rates
  are $149.00 per night for King executive rooms, with a reservation deadline of Friday 08 May. Online reservations are not available; you must call HotelRED at 608-819-8228 and
  specify that you wish to reserve a room held under the "MUG, McIDAS Users' Group Meeting" group rate.
  HotelRED opened in 2011 and its amenities include
    complimentary covered parking, complimentary airport shuttle (based on availability), free internet, in-room safe, and fitness center. 
 
- • DoubleTree Hotel 
 
  Rooms are available starting Sunday 07 June. The group rates
  are $159.00 per night for King or 2-Queens rooms, with a reservation deadline of  Sunday 03 May. Reservations must be made online via the hotel's MUG Meeting booking page.
  The DoubleTree Hotel's amenities include
    complimentary parking for one vehicle per room, free airport transportation, complimentary shuttle service within a 2 mile radius,
    free internet, free newspaper, and discount to nearby fitness center.  
 
- • Lowell Center 
 
Rooms are available starting Sunday 07 June. The limited-availability group rates are $70.00 per night for single rooms and $82.00
for double rooms, with a reservation deadline of Thursday 07 May. Online reservations are available via the hotel's MUG Meeting booking page, or by calling the Lowell Center at 866-301-1753 and specifying that you wish to reserve a room held in the "McIDAS Users' Group Meeting" block with group code MUG. 
The Lowell Center's amenities include continental breakfast, pool and sauna. Guestrooms have Keurig coffee makers, mini-refrigerators, clock      radios with iPod docking stations, 32" flat screen TVs with cable, and high      speed internet. Guest      parking is on-site for $10/night or off-site (3 blocks) at no charge. Please make parking reservation when you reserve your room.

 Note: SSEC reserves the right to modify or cancel the meeting and/or training sessions    if the number of registrations do not meet that needed to sufficiently cover the costs. The registration deadline is April 15th, and any decision to cancel the meeting and/or training will be made by May 1st. SSEC also reserves the right to limit the number of attendees
per site or organization due to limited space in the MUG Meeting facilities (auditorium
